Vol. 4, No. 049, February 18, 2019
4049 - Wrapped In Love.
With my day off today, I decided to attend basketball game between my hometown school and my work school. As make-ups for snow day games, it was a boys and girls double header. I decided that the 4 hours I would be watching basketball would be a good time to finish knitting the scarf for Oldest Miller. I stitched in a pocket, added a finger knitted button in case she wants to close the scarf, and a little trim. It isn’t the nicest scarf, but she likes it today. I laid the scarf out into a heart for the picture.

3306 - Blue's The Best.
I made quite a bit of art at school today, but I neglected to take any pictures of it. So, I decided to share and un-posted project from Halloween. When I got home from school on Wednesday, ready for some Miller Time Trick Or Treating, I was asked to help come up with a quick and easy costume for Baby as the monkey costume he was going to wear was now wear to be seen. After a few Google searches, I headed to his dresser to see what he had for me to work with. That's when I came across blue footie pj's. I could work with that. My first thought was a Baby Smurf, but I didn't have a white hat. Then I decided on a blue M&M. I used yellow masking tape for the M as that was the only tape I had available. Baby had a great time Trick Or Treating; he couldn't stop laughing!

3007 - Just a Jumper.
I read today's prompt and thought "that's kind of odd. Why would we want to design a dress?" Then I looked at Facebook and saw my news feed filled with pictures of sweaters. I was a little confused and then I remembered that the prompts are coming from a group based in England. Apparently a jumper in England is a sweater here.
So after working on lesson plans all day, I needed to quickly design my jumper. I saw my smiley faces from the other day sitting on my table and decided they would be cute on a sweater. So here it is, my emotional sweater.

2348 - Totally Teal.
I decided to turn to my many saved Facebook posts for inspiration today. The project that struck my fancy was crayon shoes. I had saved video of someone painting canvas shoes to look like a Crayola crayon. I conveniently had a pair of teal canvas shoes sitting at home that I didn’t love, so why not paint them. Because the shoes were already teal, all I had to do was add the wave and the color word. Really the hardest part of this project was deciding what color the shoes were. My initial thought was teal, but then I wasn’t sure that that would be accurate according to the Crayola color scale. I did lots of research, googling colors, comparing with real crayons, I even phoned a friend, who voted for teal by the way. In the end I settled on teal, not because I really thought that was the best color choice, but because the word was short and would be the best fit for the size of the shoe. Now the next dilemma is what outfit to wear with my "new" shoes for school tomorrow.

2117 - 27 - Wearable Art.

At first I was going to make this simple and just make a little friendship bracelet, but then I remembered that I had an old dress at home that I have been wanting to turn into an apron. So after my long day at work, followed by grocery shopping, I stopped at my parents house to pick up a sewing machine. Then I went home and got to work. Two hours later I have a new, cute apron. While it may not be fair worthy, or Granny approved, it is wearable.
Since it was late when I finished it, I didn't get to wear it in public, but I look forward to the next time I work in the church kitchen, as I will be sure to bring my apron with.

2057 - Take notice of your surroundings and share something that makes you feel happy. News Worthy Bride.
At breakfast this morning I noticed the Sunday paper sitting in the hotel lobby and I decided it would be fun to use it for my project. Since this weekend was all about wedding planning, I decided to make a wedding dress. Rebecca agreed to let me dress her up as the bride, a practice run for the real thing.
We didn'the have any tape, so me made the dress by folding the newspaper amt tucking it into her swimsuit.
We had the dress done and she was pressuring me to hurry up and take the pictures. I made her wait so I could make flowers.
