Hard to believe that it is Thursday again, which means art club at the Winsted Arts Council. Today we were learning about Keith Haring, a Pop Art and Graffiti artist. Using the brown kraft paper I keep on hand for covering the tables and old paint that was donated, I made my Graffiti person in motion. I cameven up with the title, which ties in to Popcorn Lovers Day, because this project is pop art that is sort of corny. My painting is the large pink one with the finished background. Side note, it is challenging and slightly awkward to trace yourself. The other 4 are student works, they will do their backgrounds next week.
