I read today’s prompt right before I got up this morning. So I decided to save my water cup to repurpose. I brought the 5 ounce Dixie cup to art club with me, colored the inside with marker, crayon and oil pastel and then cut it into a sun shape to use for a nest. At art club today, we began making Bird in Nest mixed media collages. The students only got the base of their nests made today, but I finished my nest so I would have an example prepared. I put the cup in the middle and wove some “twigs” in it to give the nest more depth. These nests are going to be adorable once we get the birds in them next week.
